Dykehead Bakery is the original premises of Bell Bakers Limited and today manufactures our cake products - both the Kirriemuir and the Bells range - in addition to our famous pastry, of which we produce over 50 tonnes each week.
Bell Bakers Limited operates under strict quality control measures, and our produce is constantly monitored. Due to our strong commitment to excellence, both plants have industry trained and accredited quality assurance staff; and we are continually upgrading our systems as and when new information and technology become available.
On arrival of meat and all other raw materials at our facilities, rigorous testing - both visual and lab based - is carried out. Anything which does not meet our specified criteria for nutrition and health and safety is automatically rejected.
Our final products are also examined. Lab technologists scrutinise microbiological factors and we hold daily “taste panels" through which we measure the aspects of quality which lab testing can’t. Any shortfall in the quality of flavour, texture, appearance etc. is immediately flagged and rectified. |
